In fluid dynamics “linear wave theory” describes gravity waves on the surface of a homogeneous fluid as kinematics of coastal geography.
Laconia Project renders the gravitational curves of the waves progressing into linear forms along the façades. Architecture becomes a sculptural reflection of the coastal scape animating the movement of water (backwash) as a beach drift, on each side of the building.
