Athinon is a classically arranged residential complex at Voula, on the Athenian riviera. The massing of the single rectangular volume is broken across the horizontal axis by solid white terraces, with the front elevation arranged around an asymmetrical geometric frame that creates a play of shadow and light across the glass panels of the entrance and staircase behind. The composition and palette reflect the natural colors and beauty of the surrounding landscape, with the site characterized by a steep hillside to the rear that frames the architectural profile from the front aspect. A carefully arranged entrance ensemble greets visitors, with a ‘green’ arcade and a slated wooden shade overhead, setting the tone for the spacious apartments that follow. The complex features six residences; two ground-floor residences with double- height loft living areas and generous terraces with swimming pools, twin single floor apartments and further penthouse duplexes above.
